The Centre for Gelatinous Plankton Ecology and Evolution addresses three overarching research fields (see Figure) by addressing the questions:
Q1: What is the role of gelatinous zooplankton in marine food webs, do they constitute a dead end or link to higher trophic levels?
Q2: Who do jellyfish respond to global change induced stressors and do we see an increasing problem with their bloom formation?
Q3: What is the adaptation potential of gelatinous zooplankton organisms to global change stressors, are they superior invaders?
